Legacy publishers resist embracing digital at their peril

GoodeReader posted on Pearson Publishing’s $3.3-billion loss. The textbook company feels it has to accelerate its “digital transformation” as students opt to borrow texts through Amazon or Google or use Apps for the information they require.

The moral of the story is the eBook Revolution continues, and legacy publishers have to get it through their heads that they can either have a piece of the action at an affordable price through accessible platforms or file sharing, eBook piracy and legal digital information exchanges will leave them with much, much less–or nothing.
