{"id":2106,"date":"2009-05-29T12:04:48","date_gmt":"2009-05-29T17:04:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ebookrumors.com\/?p=2106"},"modified":"2009-05-30T07:26:03","modified_gmt":"2009-05-30T12:26:03","slug":"2106","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ebookrumors.com\/?p=2106","title":{"rendered":"More interesting deals&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I thought I&#8217;d add this item to my conspiracy theory of yesterday, where I intimated questionable integrity on the part of the <em>New York Times&#8217; <\/em>coverage of the Kindle phenomena.<\/p>\n<p>Here we have a well-written\u00c2\u00a0article in\u00c2\u00a0 Wednesday&#8217;s (May 27\/09) online edition of the<em> New York Times<\/em> called: &#8220;Don&#8217;t Quit that Kindle Just Yet&#8221; by David Pogue that starts as a fair and detailed appraisal of the up\u00c2\u00a0and coming <strong>$250\u00c2\u00a0Cool-er<\/strong> e-book reader by British company <strong>Interead<\/strong>. Read it <a title=\"Don't Quit that Kindle Just Yet\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/05\/28\/technology\/personaltech\/28pogue.html?_r=1&amp;ref=media\" target=\"_self\">here<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Honestly, it&#8217;s an excellent article and gives the complete lowdown on this new device, clearly designed with the common reader&#8217;s budget in mind.<\/p>\n<p>Now, to draw your attention to the fact that the <em>New York Times<\/em> has a content deal with Kindle, it isn&#8217;t surprising when this article begins to focus on the Cool-er&#8217;s deficits or, the very qualities that make it affordable.<\/p>\n<p>I wish I could read that article and not wonder if the NewYork Times had an\u00c2\u00a0ulterior motive for publishing it, <em>yah<\/em>?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I thought I&#8217;d add this item to my conspiracy theory of yesterday, where I intimated questionable integrity on the part of the New York Times&#8217; coverage of the Kindle phenomena.
