I guess they will have no impact on the Digital Book World. Actually, it isn&#8217;t surprising that they&#8217;ve been overlooked when you consider all of (traditional) publishing&#8217;s BIG SIX publishers have sent small armies to attend.<\/p>\n<p>The event&#8217;s <a title=\"Program listed by topic\" href=\"http:\/\/dbw2011.digitalbookworld.com\/program-by-topic\/\" target=\"_self\"><strong>Program<\/strong><\/a> reads like a <strong>who&#8217;s who<\/strong> of irrelevant business ideas. Just an example: &#8220;<strong>Fun Facts Now That We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re an Ebook Retailer &amp; Wholesaler<\/strong>&#8221; (soon-to-be irrelevant middlemen), &#8220;<strong>Author Royalties for Ebooks: What the Agents and Publishers Say Is the State of Play<\/strong>&#8221; (irrelevant middlemen) and &#8220;<strong>A CEO\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s View of the Future<\/strong>&#8221; (irrelevant overlords&#8230;).<\/p>\n<p>It would be a gas to check this thing out, <em>yah<\/em>?
