New B&N Nook on the way.

Good news over at GoodeReader for any Barnes and Noble Nook fans in the crowd. It looks like B&N is preparing to launch a new upgraded version of their popular Nook eBook reader. It will be E Ink with a similar quality display to the Kindle Paperwhite reader. B&N is still is the fight!

Kobo shuts UK eBook store over abuse-themed material.

BBC says that Kobo has shut down its U.K. eBook store until they finish weeding out Indie eBooks with abuse-themed narratives.

A BBC News story shows how the rush to publish eBooks has caught online retailers off guard as “abuse-themed” material is found on the eShelves alongside regular reading fare. Looks like they’ll have to start previewing and categorizing this stuff.
