Indie booksellers sue Amazon.

Publishers Weekly reports on developments in a lawsuit brought by independent booksellers against Amazon. The booksellers say the Kindle creator’s use of proprietary digital rights management is part of a conspiracy it forged with the big six publishers to control the market.

Pocketbook announces new eReading devices.

GoodeReader says Pocketbook is bringing two new E Ink Readers (one of those utilizing a full color e-Ink Triton 2 display) and a tablet to the eReading market. There’s no telling if or when we’ll see these devices in North America, but the European market is in line to benefit. Pictures and video at the link.

German court says no to “used” digital book sales.

Established authors joining Indie publishing revolution.

Here’s a link to a New York Times story about Pulitzer Prize-winning writer David Mamet joining in the Indie Publishing game. As other established authors join the digital publishing age, it bodes well for the reader and writer. …not so much for the traditional publishing and agency model.
