The Bookseller reports that the fairly recent acquisition of Kobo eReader by Japanese tech-giant Rakuten is about to pay in spades with the popular eBook Reader’s July 19th Japanese launch offering access to an eBook service touting 30,000 Japanese titles and over 1-million English eBooks.
The fact that Amazon is moving up the release of its Kindle for the Japanese market states the obvious about the fierce battle to come.
