GeekyGadgets offers a story that frustrates the hell out of me. Amazon is testing out a book rental option for its Kindle eBook reader. Okay. So, what happened to all that talk about eBook prices coming down once Apple and co-conspirators paid the piper for their price-fixing scheme?
Apparently, Amazon is trying to find new tricks to keep eBook sale prices higher than they should be, and in the process making it look way too complicated.
Just sell eBooks, for God’s sake! Greedy gimmicks slow down the technology’s mainstream adoption.
