eBook Revolution Update

BBC has a story about Yota’s new phone that boasts two screens. On one side the Android device offers the traditional full color screen, while on the other you’ll find an E Ink screen. The designers have incorporated the low-energy E Ink for static displays, but one wonders if you can read eBooks on it. There are a lot of people out there squinting to read eBooks on traditional (glaring) smartphones who might jump at this innovation.

Digital Book World has eBook best-seller lists for the week ending Dec. 1, 2013.

MediaBistro reports that Scribd has gift cards available for eBook subscriptions.

According to a MetroNews Canada story, the Edmonton Public Library just got 2,000 eBooks richer.
