The Wall Street Journal says people ‘familiar with the matter’ have confirmed that Amazon is indeed launching a tablet to compete head to head with the Apple iPad over digital content (eBooks, music, movies, games, etc.). Competition is nothing new to the tech giants but open warfare over the tablet computer market promises to be bloody.
Of course, with industries that seem to be forever growing and evolving, there will be lots of room for winners.
