PublishersWeekly reports on non-profit library eBook platform Palace Project inking a deal with indie publishing platform Draft2Digital/Smashwords to make the latter’s gigantic, recently merged catalog of indie titles available to libraries.
This marks a huge win for indie authors and publishers that have long been squeezed out of the market by legacy publishers. (The same legacy publishers that have long been overcharging public libraries for eBooks.)
So, it’s a GIGANTIC WIN for the libraries and READERS, too!
