GoodeReader says that Indie Authors are rewriting the publishing game. According to PDFDevices, Amazon has upgraded its Kindle for Android to 3.6.0. CNetReviews lists 25 things you need to know to Indie publish. PaidContent reports on a move by Amazon to make some of its own in-house eBooks available at other retailers.

Book Expo America Optimistic

Reuters reports on Book Expo America in New York where publishers, book sellers and authors took on an excited and optimistic tone to discuss a year of change for the publishing industry.

Sony updates online presence.

GoodeReader says Sony has streamlined their online eBook store to make it more user-friendly and boost accessibility for the few Sony wireless readers they offer. Additionally, they’ve released a revised Sony Reading App to make wireless eBook purchasing available to the wide selection of tablets and devices on the market.

iPad leads the tablet pack.

Phys.Org News quotes an ABI Research survey on tablets that puts iPad in the lead with the Samsung’s offering bringing in second place over the Kindle Fire. It’s still pretty early in a very crowded race, so it’s tough to bet on a winner.
