PublishersWeekly has an interesting story about the state of the eBook Revolution as we approach the holiday buying season for 2012.

Their figures show continued growth in sales of eBook Readers, Tablets and eBooks and indicate the broader market is expanding beyond Amazon’s territory.

Tablets edge into lead as eReaders

Authorlink says statistics give the lead in eReader adoption to tablets. The low-price, multi-function Kindle Fire is given credit for this reversal of fortune that used to show E Ink Readers in the lead.

As we all know by now, neither the eBook Revolution or Technology permits the either/or outcome, so we can be sure to see both kinds of devices around for many years to come.
