Kobo has record setting year. Looks to more growth in future.

More from GoodeReader. Kobo is boasting a record setting year exceeding 2012 market forecasts with 4-million new customers joining the ranks of its more than 8-million users. 3-D keyboard will rise from the surface of your touch-screen tablet.

Technology company Tactus delivered a futuristic new take on the touch-screen tablet to the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 (CES) in Las Vegas. BBC has amazing video of the technology that causes a 3-dimensional keyboard to “rise” from the flat touch-screen. Very cool.

According to a DigitalBookWorld post Amazon claims to be winning the fight for the Japan eBook marketplace. This hotly contested landscape already hosts Kobo/Rakuten and recent competitor to join the fray Apple iBookstore.

Public libraries see Indie authors as perfect fit.

PublishersWeekly reports that Indie publisher and distributor Smashwords has inked a deal to put 10,000 of its author eBook titles in public libraries.
